My Guilty Pleasure

First thing is first, I do not feel guilty for liking anything that gives me pleasure. If something makes me happy then I want as much of it as I can! But for the sake of this question, I would say that my biggest guilty pleasure would be food. I love trying new things. I love tasting food, and being able to pick out the ingredients just by using my tongue. There’s something extraordinary about food. One recipe can contain countless trial and errors, family history and even ones culture. A recipe can bring people together. And there’s something comforting about knowing that when nothing else makes sense, when you follow steps 1, 2, and 3 you will be able to whip up something delicious and everything works out.

  • My strength - not my body strength, but my mental strength. I have been through some rough times in my life and have dealt with alot of disappointment from those who were supposed to be the ones who supported me and wanted the best for me. In other words, I have dealt with alot of nonsense, and struggle. Despite all of that, I have taught myself to stay strong and move on.

  • Staying positive - In any situation that life throws at me, even the ones that suck, I at least try and see the best and see the positive. Sometimes it helps, but it always keeps me going.

  • My understanding - I always try to understand situations from all perspectives. This is sometimes hard especially if it is my problems. But even when someone does something wrong, I always try to keep an open mind and try to forgive them. I don’t like to hold grudges and even though sometimes people don’t deserve forgiveness, this usually sets me free and makes me happier.
